Gather round everyone for story time with CB aka The Invisible Monster! Today I shall share with you how I found my way to the monkeyverse!
It was a dark and stormy November night . . . No, it really was! I am not saying it for the effect! Just look at this picture! That is my car under that snow! (this is not a picture from that night, but you get the idea)
I was gifted, as an early birthday present, a ticket to the midnight showing of Twilight. After much begging, and pleading, and cajoling I was on my way back out into the weather, and to the theatre.
I will admit that after that first viewing, and the numerous after that I was a hard core Team Edward gal.
So, what I cannot remember, but can only assume, was a few weeks later I was on the couch ready to watch my favorite show. Criminal Minds. I was ready for my Wednesday night of crime solving entertainment, when who should appear on my TV screen, but someone who looked suspiciously like a certain blonde vampire.
Sure enough, there rolling across my screen, in the guest stars names was Jackson Rathbone. So after watching the episode, and being just blown away by this man's talent, I did what any fangirl worth her salt would do . . . Let the cyber stalking commence!!
I had to see for myself that the same man who was responsible for this . . .
Was the same one responsible for this . . .
Websites, and fansites and other blogs later I knew everything there was to know about Jackson, and had something new to search out. 100 Monkeys. I am a self proclaimed music nerd so I was extremely excited to hear what this bunch of primates was about.
I headed to iTunes and started downloading. The first song I ever listened to was Ugly Girl, and I was hooked! I started watching YouTube videos and just finding any info I could on the monkey men.
I soon found that they were coming to my part of the country, and I knew that I had to get to Michigan! I recruited some family and friends and before I knew it we were on our way to our first 100 Monkeys show!
That show was the Spencer Bell Legacy show, and I had no idea how much that show would change my life.
I will end my story there. Now you know how this member of the Funky Monkey Trio became a monkey lovin lady!
Stay tuned for my next story time, where I will tell you all about my experience at the Spencer Bell Legacy show!
