Kaylee's Monkey Tales - Long overdue!

Hello Everyone I'm Kaylee or KK, whichever. Here is my long overdue introduction to the MONKEYVERSE!

One day while youtube-ing something Twilight Saga related I came across an interview with Jackson Rathbone. In the interview, Jackson mentioned a band that he was in called 100 Monkeys. Though I'd only seen a little bit of Jackson in Twilight and S. Darko, he seemed like a talented enough actor, but was he a talented musician? Was this band "100 Monkeys" any good? I had to find out!

I typed 100 Monkeys in the search bar on youtube and got a lot of results. The first video I watched was the music video for Ugly Girl. I couldn't quite place their sound in a genre, but I liked that and it made me want to hear more so I watched a few videos from various shows. The audio in most of those videos was distorted but I was able to see how much energy and passion the guys put into their performance. Also, I noticed that some of the band members switched instruments for each song, which I thought was pretty awesome. I can't remember now which videos I'd watched and what songs I'd heard, but I do know that one of them was an improv and I was super impressed by it! After all of that, I went to the bands website, 100monkeysmusic.com, where I listened to more of their music and learned a little bit about them.

Since that first visit to the 100 monkeys website, I've found out about the late and great Spencer Bell; his legacy, art and music. 100 Monkeys has lead me to other really talented artists and bands as well! And if that wasn't enough, I've also met amazing and wonderful people, some of which are now my very close friends!
